AGARTALA, Oct 20 (TIWN): Tripura Opposition Leader – Sudip Roy barman Monday challenged the Chief Minister to make to internal audit reports of different blocks publicly. The chief minister often says, this is the only corruption free state in the entire country by criticizing the central government but at such CM’s ‘golden era’ is the highest corrupted period in the country, said Sudip in a press conference at Congress Bhavan, here today.“I have already applied for the internal audit report copies of different blocks as per the RTI on September 20. If the state government denies making the audits publicly, I will make them open towards the public of the state”, said Sudip.

Now the state government is trying to delay the process so that Ex persons like- Ex BDOs, Ex Panchayat Secretaries could submit adjustments to hide the misappropriation of public funds, he added.

He further stated that in the financial year (FY) 2011-12 and 2012-13, an amount of over Rs 400-500 crore has been misappropriated in the different fields at Tripura. It can be proved merely by the CBI inquiry. Besides, Sudip has shown to media the copies of internal audit reports of different blocks.

Surprisingly, the chief minister of Tripura did not comment a single word on the multi-crore scam in Bishalghar RD block, said Opposition leader. “It can never be possible that the CM is not aware about this massive scam”, he said. Sudip further asserted that a ‘power’ of Melarmath has been trying to conceal the different scams in Tripura.

Meanwhile, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is all set to file Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking CBI probe pertaining to the multi-crore scam of Bishalghar RD block. To move the PIL, we are hiring a special lawyer from Kolkata, said Sudip.

On the other hand, despite immense pressure from different political parties and public, state government finally suspended the then BDO of Bishalghar RD block and incumbent Dy. Director of Information and Cultural Affairs Department- Bimal Chakraborty today. Though the FIR was lodged against him but he is still at large.
