UDAIPUR,October 19 (TIWN): Sree Sree Mata Tripura Sundari Diwali Mela-2014 will be inaugurated by Minister for Transport and Power Manik Dey at 5.30pm on 23rd October .Chairman of MataBari Tripura Sundari Diwali Mela Committee Madhab Saha said this in a press conference held in Tripura Sundari Temple complex on Sunday evening. The Press Conference was also attended by DM Gomati Sonal Goel and SP Gomati Sankar Debnath, SDM Ajit Debnath and SDPO Ratan Kr Das . Madhab Saha said that Minister for Tourism Ratan Bhowmik will be the Chief Guest on this occasion. Naresh Jamatia, Minister for Forest Dept will inaugurate the Exhibition Stalls. TTAADC Chairman Mongsajai Mog, Sabhadhipati of Gomati Zila Parishad Suniti Saha, DM Gomati Sonal Goel and Udaipur Municipal Council Chairperson Manika Das will also remain present here.

      To conduct the Diwali Mela, the biggest festival of the state an Executive Committee of 134 members a 10 members Advisory Committee and a Steering Committee of have already been constituted. The total budget of Rs 18,08,518/- has been approved. various measures have been taken for the interests of the lakhs of pilgrims and tourists, who will assemble in the traditional Diwali Festival. Some of these are :-

1) Selling of wine and Gambling are totally banned

2 Playing of loudspeakers too are banned except those to be used by the Mela Committee

3) 4 Generators will be there on emergency basis

4) To avoid any untoward incident 4 ambulances and 1 Fire Engine will be kept on alert

5) 3 Medical units and Mobile medical team will be there with medicines

6) For the interests of pilgrims and tourists 30 Drinking Water taps, 25 temporary lavatories and 40 temporary urinal points will be opened for 24 hours.

7) There will be two Control Rooms- one for the police and the other for the District administration

8) During the 2 days of Diwali festival 500 volunteers will assist the pilgrims and tourists

9) Rescue Team of Disaster Management too will be kept on alert

10) 2 rescue boats will also work in Kalyan Sugar to prevent any untoward incident

       Gomati District police too has taken massive arrangement in view of the Diwali Mela. Speaking to TIWN exclusively SP Gomati Sankar Debnath said," IG (Law & Order) Anurag Dhyankar and DIG Southern Range Uttam Kumar Majumder will be supervising the entering security arrangements. Apart from this District police, women police and TSR jawans as well as police in civilians cloths will also be deployed. Moreover in various places police personnel will always be there:-

1) A TSR camp will be installed inside the temple complex and Dog Squad and Bomb Squad will also be around the temple and Mela Complex

2) 15 Drop Gates will be be set up at various locations where specials observations will be done by police

3) 10 Police Watch Towers will be installed

4) Traffic Police will control the vehicles

      Chairman of Mela Committee said that through print and electronic media time tables of the Diwali Puja of Mata Tripura Sundari will be broadcast for the interests of the devotees coming from different parts of India and abroad. This year as per 'Tithi' Amavasya will start from 2.01am on Wednesday night and will end at 2.56am on Thursday. And accordingly Pujas of Mata Tripura Sundari will be held as per following schedules:-

 Wednesday

1) From 5am to 7am:- Chandipath

2) At 10am :- Puja of Mata Tripura Sundari will start

3) At 6.30pm:- Mahasnan(bathing) of Tripura Sundari

4) At 7.30pm:- Arti of Mata Tripura Sundari

3) At 10pm:- Nishi Puja

4) At 11pm:- Special Diwali Puja will start

Doors of the Tripura Sundari Temple will remain open whole night
