AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, June 13 (TIWN): Tripura's massive load-shedding under State Power Minister Jishnu Dev Barman's leadership causing mass resentments across Tripura. Since 3 months, ongoing power cut issues have hit normal lives, due to scorching heat of the summers, but there is no statement yet given by the Power Dept headed by Deputy CM Jishnu Dev Barman reason behind the ongoing load-shedding problems. TIWN is receiving hundreds of mails regarding this issue and sleepless nights are haunting the public. Also banking services are being disrupted thoroughly due to power cut.The inverter users are under huge trouble as the power service not even giving time to charge the inverter machines.The problem has been worsened in last few months followed by the monsoon.The state’s residents have been complaining on social media, especially since the country has been in the grip of a heat wave. In a serious frustration tone, people now in Tripura no more complaining regarding power cut issues in local power house offices as nothing happens even after complaining. The inverter users are under huge trouble as the power service not even giving time to charge the inverter machines.

Many people died in Tripura in attempt to restore power service by themselves as TSECL do not take action 95% times. Rural areas’ conditions are most pathetic but now Agartala’s situation is no way better. The power service is right now the wort service in Tripura. Lack of maintenance has hit the power connectivity in the state.With light wave of win, people in Tripura area suffering due to massive power cut problems. It is also leading massive water crisis in many areas. On June 6, Tripura Power Dept Minister had to deliver a speech on yesterday amid power cut. It has been reported when Power Minister, cum Deputy CM Jishnu Dev Barman was delivering a speech in a Govt programme at Sabroom in South Tripura District suddenly power was cut and he had to continue his speech for long without microphone. It caused massive embarrassment to the Minister. He was bound to say that in next 15 days power cut problems will be solved.
