It has also ended the days of booth-capturing, delays and errors in ballot papers counting. e. The EVMs are manufactured by two Public Sector Undertaking viz., BEL and ECIL who also manufacture equipments for national security. f. EVM goes through number of administrative checks like First Level Checking, Mock Polls before it is used in an election. To ensure that no body knows which EVM will be assigned to which constituency EVM goes through a randomisation process. The whole process is conducted infront of the political representatives. g. All polled EVMs and VVPATs are brought under security cover to the designated strongrooms, which are sealed in the presence of the candidates and ECI's Observers. These strongrooms are kept under 24*7 CCTV surveillance. The EVM missing issue came in news which said 20 lakhs EVMs were going missing, however, Election Commission denied the news.
