NEW DELHI, May 18 (TIWN): AICC has called an important and urgent meeting at Delhi tomorrow to decide what will be Tripura Re-Poll related case’s main highlighted point which will be pressed in the Supreme Court of India on Monday. Addressing in social media live from Delhi, Congress State President Pradyot Manikya said, “Many developments are undergoing in Delhi. Tomorrow Abhishek Manu Singhvi has called a conference and from Tripura, our West Tripura candidate Subal Bhowmik and Advocate Pijush Biswas will be joining the conference with us. In the conference it will be decided what will be the main point to be highlighted in Supreme Court day after tomorrow (Monday) regarding Tripura West Re-Poll”. “One thing is clear that we will not give up so easily and whatever the consequences will be seen, we shall fighting till the end. Re-Poll may happen after few months but we will not give up. There were two sets of meeting with Election Commissioner and I also met the Chief Election Commissioner along with central Congress leaders. I have only one point, when RO has reported that 433 booths were rigged how Special Observer (Vinod Zutshi) downed the booth numbers at 168 ?”, said Pradyot Manikya.

“There is a technical point, how the Special Observer overruled the decision of the RO and I wanted a written reply on this, even though Election Commission has not given us any written reply”, said Pradyot Manikya.

“I also told the Election Commission that being sharing border with neighboring country if Tripura can not set example of Democracy, then what message the neighboring country will get ?

The Leftist Party in Tripura CPI-M also had filed a case in Supreme Court which was referred to the State High Court and after MP Sankar Prasad Dutta has filed a petition in the High Court, Tripura High Court has ordered the Election Commission to furnish its response by May 21 citing urgency of the case regarding re-poll seats announcement.  West Tripura constituency candidate Shankar Prasad Dutta filed a writ petition with the Tripura High Court demanding re-poll in whole constituency. The petitioner claimed on massive rigging, EC’s action against 11th April’s rigging, whereas only 168 booths re-poll was announced.
