AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 15 (TIWN): A tight slap on BJP-IPFT Govt’s anti-employment policy and anti-Govt Job attitude under which it cancelled all existing recruitment (which were going on since Left Govt’s time) affecting over 8000 job aspirants on 20th August 2018. Challenging Tripura BJP Govt’s illegal cancellation of recruitment, TCS/ TPS job aspirants appealed in the High Court. A writ petition was filed by one Samudra Debbarma (a TCS/TPS job aspirant) and High Court in a verdict has ordered Tripura Govt to complete the recruitment process within 8 months. At the same time, High Court also said that new recruitment policy will not be effective to the previous Govt led ongoing recruitment. It may be recalled after assuming power, BJP-IPFT Govt cancelled each exam conducted by TPSC including TCS / TPS (30 seats) which was already under High Court’s observation, even though TPSC is an autonomous body.

Also it was revealed that Tripura Govt didn’t take any authorization from Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) while forming New Recruitment Policy. On 2018, 20th August the New Recruitment Policy was announced and the Govt declared “cancellation of all ongoing recruitment”. Justice Subashish Talapatra has given the verdict after hearing the petitioners.

Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said that it was done for the sake of "Transparent Recruitment Policy". But there was no reason, why the existing recruitment process were cancelled when no irregularity was found.

The cancellation of recruitment process was illegal even though the mainstream media and leading newspapers never protested Govt’s illegal move. TIWN published various news on that and also TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar suggested all job aspirant victims to file cases in the High Court including TSR job aspirants and TET qualified unemployed youths.

Advocate Sahaktimoy Chakraborty has represented the case on behalf of the petitioner. Advocate Prathamoy Dutta has represented TPSC whereas from Govt side, Advocate General Arun Kanti Bhowmik was present.
