NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): Tripura High Court has issued a notice to State Govt while hearing a petition filed by unemployed teaching job aspirants, regarding the delay of recruitment of 791 B.Ed holder TET Qualifiers. On 11th April the case was first heard on 11th April and High Court issued the first show-cause notice to State Govt, but on the next hearing on April 30, Tripura Govt could not cite any reason for delay in recruitment. The Govt sought 28 days (4 weeks) to reply to this notice and High Court has also granted the demanded time for the State Govt. Thus accordingly, the job aspirants are waiting for the next hearing and eager to know what the Govt replies. Tripura BJP Govt is right now under massive rage of the unemployed youths with various complex situation created by the Govt with Govt jobs, which turned worse than any other Govt ever ruled in Tripura.Since the beginning, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath was crying foul about teachers’ crisis, whereas TIWN time to time has been reporting that around 7000 ongoing and passed out B.Ed holding candidates in Tripura are left jobless. So, Govt could recruit them massively by maintaining quality education.

Instead of recruiting B.Ed holders, TET qualifiers, Govt of Tripura managed permission from centre for “special relaxation” in teachers recruitment which says even engineers may also apply for teachers job.

CM Biplab Deb himself rushed to Delhi, wrote various letters for this relaxation. 

Centre gave permission to immediately fill-up 12222 vacant posts, but when advertisement was given it only asked 495 posts’ whereas today 791 TET qualified unemployed youths came before media, revealing, Govt did not recruit them even after having TET qualified and B.Ed qualified certificates.

In this situation Govt’s ill motive is suspected behind “special relaxation” whether for “special people”. 

The 791 TET qualified job aspirants also staged massive agitation before filing case in the High Court.

On April 11, Tripura High Court issued a notice to the State Govt to reply on the reason behind delay in filling up the vacant posts under Education Dept.Within 2 weeks the State Govt has to answer on that. The petition was filed by Lawyer Kaushik Nath on behalf of graduates and post graduates and in a divisional bench Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Arindam Lodh have pronounced the hearing.

Before filing a case, protest had hit Education department (March 11) by agitated TET qualified unemployed youths as BJP led State Govt is silent over the pending recruitments. Centre gave recruitment relaxation in B.Ed qualification for 12,222 posts filling up. But after getting relaxation in TET-I only for 180 seats interview has been called. More 791 TET qualifiers left unemployed who passed out TET with B.Ed qualification.
