AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): 168 Booths re-poll directly proved that Crime Queen Pratima Bhowmik’s criminals captured booths, rigged Lok Sabha Election even though rigging took place over 500 booths. CPI-M has called voters to come out of houses and vote fearlessly on May 12 for the 168 announced booths in West Tripura. Congress also has challenged that even though less numbers of booths’ re-poll was announced but Congress will not leave the ground. Both oppositions have moved to Supreme Court even though urgent hearing was denied. However, opposition believe that 168 booths’ repoll itself extra ordinary before the nation which was held due to CM Biplab Deb and BJP’s direct assistances.

Before the rigging held on 11th April already CM Biplab Deb announced he will teach opposition a lesson whereas Pratima Bhowmik challenged “Jamanat Zabd” of the opposition. On the other side, Police have failed file any FIR against BJP MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik so far after the viral video.

Pratima Bhowmik’s viral video shows, she is threatening Tripura Police Addl SP Kiran Kumar at Chanmari area on 12th April, one day after West Tripura Election.Pratima Bhowmik was earlier held in 3 months jail, later released in bail after she and her brother was accused in murder case of the housewife of their home. 

Right now, she is barred from election campaigning as she already crossed 70 lakhs of expenditure in election. She allegedly hired criminals from state and outside the state to rig both West and East Tripura elections.

Election Commission has announced re-poll in 168 booths to be held on May 12.

The assembly segments in Tripura West include Simna (ST), Mohanpur, Bamutia (SC), Barjala (SC), Khayerpur, Ramnagar, Town Bordowali, Majlishpur, Mandai Bazar, Takarjala (ST), Pratapgarh (SC), Badharghat (SC), Kamalasagar, Bishalgarh, Golghati, Charilam, Boxanagar, Nalchar, Sonamura, Dhanpur, Bagma (ST), Radhakishorepur, Matabari, Kakraban-Salgarah (SC), Rajnagar (SC) and Belonia.The ECI directed the state's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to ensure that wide publicity is given in the polling areas. It also directed the official to inform political parties and contesting candidates about the fresh poll”.Total numbers of voters are 1,41,255.
