AGARTALA, May 4 (TIWN): With the Lok Sabha election is heading towards its final phase on 19th May, Biplab-Pratima Crime Coterie of ruling BJP in Tripura is trying to create a deadlock in the state election department with a malicious intention of killing the democratic institution like State Election Department. Indeed, ever since the opposition parties especially Congress started demanding the reprimand of the entire election process of West Tripura Lok Sabha seat , BJP is cunningly defaming election department ,more importantly CEO Sri Ram Taranikanti with a view to divert the attention of the public from the facts that Biplab and his Crime Queen Didi had deprived voters' of their rights by stealing the democracy adopting a policy of massive rigging. On 11th April state BJP complimented CEO & state election department for conducting the election in free and fair means. But ever since CEO reported about massive rigging and gross violation of electoral process by the ruling BJP party , state BJP unit has started blaming CEO and his team.

In an exclusive statement given to TIWN, TPCC President Pradyot Kishore Debbarma categorically said,"It is beyond my understanding that how BJP,which complimented CEO & ECI on 11th April saying that they had successfully conducted the election to the West Tripura PC , is now targeting CEO calling him an agent of CPI-M." It is to be mentioned here that at 12.09pm on 11th April CEO Sri Ram Taranikati sent a Whatsapp message to the higher officials such as Returning Officer(RO),AROs,SPs and other top level officials stating,"CPI-M delegation is with me. They say that their polling agents are driven away. However, they say people are willing to cast votes. Sector Civil and Police should escort these voters and drop them back. ALL AROs AROs SHALL INSTRUCT THEIR SECTOR OFFICERS AND REPORT BACK TO ME." Remember that it was a highly highly confidential and secret communication among the top level officials including CEO,DMs,SPs,SDMs other top level officials. But quite surprisingly BJP has categorically quoted the exact words in their complaint letter submitted before ECI and that etter was signed by the Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitaraman among others. TPCC Vice President Tapash Dey told this correspondent over phone,"How can such a secret communication be handed over to a political, even though it is power?" Tapash Dey also raised the following points:-

1) From where did BJP get the Chief Secretary's preliminary enquiry report sent to Election Commission of India?

2)How could the ruling party get the letter of Tripura Civil Service Association ?

He categorically said,"In the CPIM regime there was not difference between the state govt and the ruling party. And same is being repeated under BJP and only God knows what would happen to them in future."

On the other hand,TPCC President Pradyot Kiahore Debbaarma riased a serious allegation stating that Nirmala Sitaram is the current Defence Minister. All Central and paramilitary forces come under her ministry as well as the Home Ministry."If you send the Defence Minister to the ECI as one of the representatives of the ruling party, it is a clear indication that a pressure is being imposed upon the ECI to declare that on 11th April, election to the West Tripura PC was conducted in a free and fair manner." Pradyot Kishore again said that Congress is firm on its stand for reprimand of the Entire poll of the West Tripura PC and fresh election should be conducted so that the voters can exercise thwir democratic rights no matter to which party they would vote.  Even if the voters prefer NOTA, they should be given that chance for the sake of democracy, he reiterated.

Meanwhile, Tripura Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath, who is known to be the prime advisor of Biplab Deb's govt, too came out openly criticizing the CEO terming his as Hero of the Plot. Nath clearly stated,"With some political and personal interest CEO Taranikant is leading a conspiracy against the state govt. "Reacting to such allegations made by the ruling BJP a top level official in the state elwction department on Friday night told TIWN," Actually BJP might have smelt the rat that ECI may take any kind of harsh step. And being scared of the consequences the party has shamelessly come out against the CEO,who led from the front in the assembly poll 2018. Within a day or two date of repoll will be announced by the ECI. And just at this crucial juncture what BJP is doing is nothing but an attempt of garrotting  the very foundation of the indepent institution of Indian democracy. "

TIWN supports the act of CEO Sri Ram Taranikanta because by sending that secret and particular message to the top officials he atleast tried to protect the democratical rights of the voters. That the BJP is lebelling him as "agent of CPIM" is nothing but a childish attempt to eyewash the people. During that particular message he never asked or instruct officials to influence the voters to cast their votes in favour of any political party. Unfortunately, getting all kinds of negative reports of poll rigging conducted under the instructions of CM Biplab & Crime Queen Pratima , BJP is now misleading the people stating that the CEO sent a whatsapp message asking all ROs and AROs to facilitate the voters and workers of a particular political party. As of now it can be said that simpy to hide all their missdeeds BJP is now busy to influence the ECI and CEO so that repoll can be avoided.
