AGARTALA, April 16 (TIWN): As a part of protest against West Tripura constituency election’s massive poll rigging, CPI-M has launched a 3 hours long agitation at Orient Chowmuhani on Tuesday along with demand of ‘Peaceful Election’ on 18th April. Addressing the gathering, MP Jitendra Chaudhury said that sources informed confirmedly that BJP is seeding all plans to manipulate the election of 18th April and just like April 11, in the same way to capture booths in case of East Tripura. On that ground, MP Jitendra Chaudhury said, “People of East Tripura will not tolerate such repetition of election-rigging and voters will cast votes anyhow. Because, this is not only an election to elect an MP but people know what will happen in coming days if BJP again comes in power”. Comparing with Congress led ruling in Tripura in 90’s era, MP Jitendra Chaudhury said, “BJP has not only brought back horrors of that Congress era but its level of torturing common men has increased more than that”.

“This is the most important election of India but whereas the Election was expected to be fought on the basis of logic, debates the Govt and a part of corrupt administration have turned the election a farce”, said MP Jitendra Chaudhury.

He also said, if Election  Commission and Civil Administration had done their duties such election would not happen.

MP Jitendra Chaudhury slammed the Biplab Deb Govt for stopping opposition to campaign across Tripura. He said, in a place, even after giving permission for rally, the permission was withdrawn saying, no political rally will be allowed on that field, whereas after two days without permission BJP has done a rally.

In case of East Tripura Jitendra Chaudhury hinted hooligans from Bajrang Dal have been selected for poll rigging.

“Not only Biplab Deb is doing this alone but Modi is behind all these happenings. When they are seeing everything is going out of their control, BJP is sponsoring all such violence”, said MP Jitendra Chaudhury.
