AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN): Social Welfare Minister Santana Chakma will take legal action against critics of social media and opposition CPI-M for hoisting protest against Minister Manoj Deb for touching her inappropriately on PM Modi’s rally on February 12, 2019.
Minister Santana Chakma holding a press conference at BJP headquarter said that CPI-M doesn’t have to worry for her and now she is going to take legal action against them who have made the video viral inside state and outside state.
“I am ashamed. People are continuously calling me, asking explanation. Nobody has to worry for me whatever happened. Now, the people who damaged my image, I will file case in the court”, she added.
Advocate Kalyani Roy also confirmed, Santana Chakma will take legal action for ‘defaming’ her in social media.
Kalyani Roy also pulled CPI-M women leaders legs and pointed CPI-M male leaders’ characters, further calling Minister Manoj Kanti an innocent.
Yesterday, CPI-M through press meet had demanded arrest of Manoj Deb. Bijan Dhar said, if Manoj Deb is not terminated, then bigger protest will be held in coming days.
Since Modi’s rally, a video was viral where Minister Manoj Kanti Deb has kept his hand on Minister Santana Chakma to pull her back when Modi was unveiling Railway projects, she (Santana Chakma) removed his hand.
Manoj Kanti Deb is an Indian politician from Tripura. He is the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, apart from food, civil supplies and consumer affairs, in the Biplab Kumar Deb ministry.
