AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN): CPI-M has threatened massive protest in coming days if BJP Govt immediately doesn’t suspend its Minister Manoj Kanti Deb even after whole Tripura is condemning the video of him in PM rally of his inappropriate touch to one lady Minister. CPI-M State leader Bijan Dhar said, “In the broad day light in front of Prime Minister Modi such a crime happened and no action against the Minister yet has been taken. No way now Manoj Kanti Deb can ignore the crime. Women are not safe even in the cabinet. Everybody has seen this video and the Minister can not deny the allegation. We demand, Biplab Deb Govt should immediately suspend Manoj Deb from the Ministry and police must arrest him. This was dangerous”.CPI-M has also organized a massive protest against the BJP Minister. As the whole cabinet has been silent, ignored to cite any cause behind the viral controversial video of PM Modi’s Aatabal rally where BJP Minister Manoj Deb was seen inappropriately touching the sole Cabinet lady Minister Santana Chakma.

Among the netizens however even though few male BJP supporters have claimed Manoj’s clean image, but hardly any woman commented in Manoj’s favour.

Bijan Dhar also said that behind all violence happened against CPI-M an doppposition parties at Kamalpur, it’s none other than Manoj Kanti is responsible.

CPI-M’s women’s wing has kicked off a massive protest rally demanding action against Minister Manoj Deb for his “inappropriate behavior” under a constitutional post.

The women’s wing of CPI-M also has sought arrest of the BJP Minister.

Eventhough CPI-M has protested, but Women’s  Commission and BJP women’s wing are silent on this video.

The video however can not be rubbished as it is clearly showing when Minister Manoj Deb kept his hand on Minister Santana Chakma to pull her back when Modi was unveiling Railway projects, she (Santana Chakma) removed his hand.

This video is also giving a wrong message to the society which may malign the image of women politicians in future, if clarification is ignored. So, CPI-M’s protest is legally correct.

Manoj Kanti Deb is an Indian politician from Tripura. He is the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, apart from food, civil supplies and consumer affairs, in the Biplab Kumar Deb ministry. 

CPI-M through press meet also demanded arrest of Manoj Deb. Bijan Dhar said, if Manoj Deb is not terminated, then bigger protest will be held in coming days. 

Manoj Kanti Deb in a phone-call has slammed the criticizers saying their mentality is low grade.
