AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): Whereas Chief Minister cum Home Minister Biplab Deb yet to give any statement after viral videos of Jirania police led attack upon youths and his party led public properties burning came out, but statewide violence of BJP has been started again in full wave. In such an event, a poor family’s shop was totally burnt by BJP miscreants on Monday late night. The shop was burnt for the second time, after it was burnt on March 6, just 3 days after the election result out. The owner of the shop is Debabrata Shil, was running the shop for 7 years and amid poverty he completed his graduation by running this shop. Being asked by media about the incident, Debabrata said, “At night the security guard of TMC called me and informed about the fire incident. Already fire brigades had come. At first on 6th March, 2018 they burnt my shop and the same party (BJP) burnt my shop again”. All the miscreants belong to BJP and also they had warned Debabrata recently about the consequences. The victim family said, at first when his shop was burnt on March 6, then few good persons form BJP consoled them nothing will happen again with them and thus again amid crisis situation Debabrata opened the shop where “paan”, “cigarettes”, “water bottle”, “mobile recharge” were sold. A formal GD entry was done in the local police station, whereas the family members have demanded justice.Statewide violence have been taken place under Biplab Deb’s misruling, whereas now demands raised for his resignation centering the recently held Jirania violence.

After massive violence of Jirania where 6 Tiprasa youths were injured in police firing, BJP-IPFT Govt had directly blamed the INPT and other regional parties and also blamed CPI-M, whereas viral videos have exposed the reality. With two types of viral videos it was cleared that it was police and ruling BJP jointly organized the terror and cut internet for four days, but after internet came back, then those videos went but the Govt yet afraid to move for Judicial investigation.

All political parties including BJP’s ally IPFT have demanded Judicial inquiry in Jirania Police violence of January 8, 2019 but Govt has however ordered Magisterial inquiry in the case.

On January 11, NESO (North East Student Organization) members also visited Triura, under whose call on January 8 the strike was observed against Citizenship Bill, but they were not allowed to meet the victims of police firing and NESO has called for “Judicial Investigation” under a sitting judge from the High Court. But so far Govt has only ordered for Magisterial probe and West DM Sandeep Mahatme to investigate the case.

The BJP-led Tripura government on Thursday ordered a magisterial inquiry into the police firing on Tuesday injuring six tribal youths, agitating against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill. But all opposition parties including BJP’s ally IPFT have demanded Judicial investigation whereas one demanded CBI probe.

Since March 3rd BJP led attacks are haunting public lives but it was expected that from Jirania incident BJP will take some lesson but under criminally powered BJP General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik, supported by Biplab Deb the crimes are increasing day by day instead of decreasing.
