Chief Minister should step down as token of massive failure to control ‘blood-thirsty’ Police : Bijoy Hrangkhawl

AGARTALA, Jan 13 (TIWN): INPT President Bijoy Hrangkhawal after 12 hours strike at ADC areas has demanded stepping down of Chief Minister Biplab Deb as a “token” of failure to control own police.

 Hrangkhawal also alleged, at Jirania violence Chief Minister Biplab Deb told soldiers that the Chief Minister was briefed to the police that this is the time that police can satisfy their blood thirst by open fire.

He said, “As Chief Minister himself is the Home Minister thus the firing was not possible except his order. It’s very unfortunate. Thus we demand the Chief Minister should step down”.

On yesterday 7 regional parties had called for 12 hours successful strike and demanded Rs. 25 lakhs of compensation to the firing victims or a govt job in the family, Judicial investigation in Jirania police firing, withdrawal of fabricated cases filed against innocent agitators.
