AGARTALA, Dec 12 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M spokesperson Bijan Dhar after BJP’s nationwide fall has called for the winner State Govts to work for the public’s basic demands and democratic rights so that their trust on the new party prevails as people didn’t vote for Congress, rather they voted against BJP.

“People are voting against BJP and as alternatives they are supporting any party which is not BJP. BJP’s communal politics and anti-people policy have resulted in massive drop of the party allover the country”, said Bijan Dhar.

“BJP had taken various steps and decision against farmers, unemployed youths, workers. Public rage was reflected through various protests, agitations against the Govt. The trend is totally saying that it’s anti-BJP flow which blasted against BJP’s anti-constitutional moves and anti-people decisions”, said Dhar.

Dhar further said, this mass anger will affect BJP heavily in 2019 parliamentary election too.

“It can not be finalized now whether people’s basic problems will be ended with this election result, or not, as if the Govt doesn’t take any alternative decision for the public benefit then after a certain time again people will react back. So, now it’s state govts duty to fulfil public demands”.

“We, leftists are small in power but our party has always worked for farmers, middleclass people and the working class. We will work for the public issue to strengthen the democracy as the demands which public raised and on the basis of which people voted against BJP are the foundation of Communists”, Dhar added.
