AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): After a total undemocratic, full of rigging, manipulated role of Election Commission during Tripura By-Panchayat election held before two months, another by-election has been announced by Election Commission for Tripura with 76% vacant seats. CPI-M said that the total election is undemocratic, unnatural as all the vacant seats were resulted from BJP’s force used upon the Municipality councilors to make the seat vacant by resigning, in the same way just like in Panchayat Election 96% sears were won without any contest as BJP had forced Panchayat leaders to resign. With the deteriorating law and order condition of Tripura, opposition CPI-M leader comprised of MP Jitendra Chaudhury, MLA Badal Choudhury, Manik Dey, Narayan Kar met DGP A.K.Sukla and Additional DGP Rajiv Singh. Addressing in a press conference, Badal Choudhury said, “The situation across Tripura is known by all. How riggings were done in the last Panchayat Election and how the candidates were beaten, attacked when they attempted to submit nominations, it’s known to all. Just like Dukli block across many blocks such attacks were held and maximum candidates could not submit their nominations. We want police must now take neutral role so that the opposition can go through the election without any fear”.

“We wanted proper security to our candidates but the DGP said, they will see the issue. Now, situation should be created in such manner so that not only polls can undergo without rigging but also we can go to people, meet people and place our voice. Police’s neutral role can possible the freedom of democratic practice and fearless political campaigning”.

Badal Chaudhury also has called for neutral role of state media and to raise voice.

Addressing media, MP Jitendra Chaudhury said both DGP and Add DGP have accepted about the ongoing unnatural situation in the state. However they have assured that situations will be under control.

Jitendra Chaudhury also added, due to Police biased role since March 3rd and no legal action taken against culprits, the law and order has been standing in such condition.

CPI-M leaders also said , Kamalpur, Belonia, Khowai, Sabroom, Bishalgrah like places are suffering from heavy BJP sponsored violence and thus hardly any democratic election procedure can be held at there.
