AGARTALA Oct 27 (TIWN): CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar has hit BJP Govt for increasing violence in state and its continuous attacks upon media.
“Total 15 murders, 11 unnatural deaths took place in Tripura. 11 are women out of them. The way murders have increased, rapes, crime against women increased, chanda-collection harassment went beyond limits”, Bijan Dhar said
“Journalists were attacked at Belonia. Desher Katha was left banned for 10 days illegally”, Dhar added.
MP Jitendra Chaudhury said, "As CPI-M is majority till now on the basis of public support, BJP continues attacks upon CPI-M. The election forced people to vote for BJP. Indeed, the election was totally like a party rally full of BJP supporters. At Sachand block a woman was beaten in front of their children by BJP goons. Such an undemocratic situation was never experienced by people in Tripura”.
