AGARTALA, Oct 22 (TIWN): As a source of pleasure for Bengalis, next year Durga puja will start little early from October 4.
On October 4 it will be Shashthi whereas Dashami to be celebrated on October 8. This year Durga puja started from October 15 and continued till October 19.
Right now, with the final end of Durga Puja with huge numbers of Durga idols were immersed on yesterday night, state is now upset as all the evening puja 'addas' have been ended for one year.
Durga Puja, also called Durgotsava, is an annual Hindu festival in the Indian subcontinent that reveres the goddess Durga. It is particularly popular in West Bengal, Assam, Tripura, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bangladesh and the diaspora from this region, and also in Nepal where it is called Dashain.
