AGARTALA, Oct 14 (TIWN): JUMLA Party’s rouge clowns assumed Tripura as their Personal Party Property rather than respecting public sentiment and upholding Royal Heritage. Once again in the name of Hindutva, BJP's unruly culture has attacked holy place Durgabari and this time Tripura’s ancient Durga Bari was the victim. This is the first Durga Puja in Tripura under BJP Govt and the beginning of the festival has finally shadowed the rich culture of Tripura when artisans were instructed by Biplab Deb’s close Ministers and Biplab’s Bangladeshi cousin brother Subhas Deb (Appointed Vice Chairman of State Cultural Advisory Committee) to coat the whole Durga Bari with saffron colour which was earlier in white colour since King's era (White, the symbol of Peace). After Royal family condemned the incident the Durga Bari is again being restored to white since Sunday morning. BJP also has its Finance Minister Jishnu Deb Barman who also belong to Royal family. Being asked the workers on Sunday they told TIWN, "On yesterday were instructed to give saffron colour and when today we came, we are asked to change the colour into white again".

Tripura Royal family inheritor, also a Congress leader of the Northeast India (Sikkim, AICC Secretary) Pradyot Deb Barman, S/O-Kirit Bikram Deb Barman was first to condemn the political attack on this temple on yesterday late night. 

Condemning the Political attack in holy places he also posted in social media, "Religion has no colour or atleast it should not be ! Very sad and distressed that today in Tripura we have even found colour in God . Why should be change the original character of a building to prove a point. A naya convert preaches loudly to ensure his allegiance". 

However, finally again the Durga Bari has been restored with white colour. Earlier in August 3rd, at CM Adityanath Yogi led Uttar Pradesh, Mahatma Gandhi was coated with same saffron colour. Now a days, in the name of Hindutva BJP's "Comedy Shows" continue across state. 

A source said, Raj Mata Bibhu Kumari Devi has complained to West DM Sandeep Mahatme led the administration to take action. 

Durga Puja is over 500 years old tradition in state since Kings' era and is sponsored by the Tripura government now continues to be a draw for devotees. The capital of the princely dynasty along with royal temple moved three different places - Udaipur, Amarpur and Puran Habeli before the state headquarters and the capital city along with the Durgabari temple settled in Agartala 177 years ago in 1838 by then Maharaja Krishna Kishore Manikya (1830-49).
