UDAIPUR, Oct 5 (TIWN): In less than 48 hours of massive success of Gomati District Police led by Addl SP Nabadweep Jamatia in arresting Swarup Bhattacharjee, the prime suspect in Brown Sugar case at Udaipur, late Tuesday night, the role of R K Pur PS, especially OC R K Pur, puts the entire episode under question, reveals TIWN sources. On Wdnesday police produced Swarup Bhattachrjee before the court and demanded 7 days remand . But after long argument the Court allowed only 2 days remand and that too because of some Lacuna in the Forwarding Note produced by the police before the court. Today he will again be produced before the court. Mysteriously even after State forensic lab clarified that the materials seized by RKPur PS on 29th October2017 were diactyl morphine(commonly know as heroin) , police is yet to include Swarup's name in the Suo-muto case No2018/RKP/079 U/S 21 of NDPS Act 1985.

Suspecting a nexus between the police station and Swarup's family , the bulk of the police officials desire that the case ought to be handed over to the CID . It is lwarnt that on 8th April,2018 Dy Director (Chemistry) of State Forensic Lab Suman Chakraborty vide No.SFSL775/17/CHEM/79/17/8797 submitted the report through SDPO Udaipur that the materials recovered from the three accused namely the Master Mind Swarup Bhattacharjee,Debanjan Chakraborty, Rajib Mirdha were Diactyl morphine (commonly known as Heroin). 

But during the last 6 months (till 3rd October 2018) police could not enter the name of Swarup as one of the accused ! 

Many feels that there may be a nexus between OC RKPur and Swarup's family . TIWN sources said,"Presently there is tremendous pressure from different corners to supress the name of Swarup as his father is an intimate friend of Chief Minister Bilab Kr. Deb's close aide Santosh Saha . However, the fact is that CM Biplab is learnt to have instructed all his pary colleagues not to get involved in this case in any way. This has raised the confidence of the police , especially SP Gomati A R Reddy . " 

The sources also said that inspite of having all proofs against Swarup's involvement, the missing of his name from the FIR is creating a mystery . Acording to TIWN sources police did not even report if they had recorded that statement of the arrested persons as it is priliminary to investigate in such a sensitive case. 

Meanwhile, a highly placed TIWN sources in State Police Headquarters told that Chief Minister Biplab Kr. Deb has asked all police stations to submit updates of all crimes records in each PS by 10th October 2018 . Receiving such instructions a section of police administrations are now pressuming that many big fishes may be under the grip if police stations send factual reports. 

Today police is again producing  Swarup before the court . But many suspect that there is a posibility to give a free space to Swarup so that his father( a politically inclined person) may have the chance to prove his son innocent .
