AGARTALA, Oct 3 (TIWN): Gautam Das led ‘Daily Desher’ Katha newspaper without fixing its basic legal paperworks continue its role as communist mouthpiece like a fool, whereas CPI-M’s various mouthpiece including newspaper, webmedia, even TV channels’ 99 % have turned overnight BJP mouthpiece since Communist regime collapsed under BJP’s JUMLA promises.
Whereas it has been alleged that BJP Govt illegally banned the publication of Daily Desher Katha, there are media houses, journalists who earlier being bootlickers continue to extort other media houses in BJP era too.
Indeed behind various attacks upon media houses' banning in CPI-M era including popular newspaper "Pratibadi Kalam" it was none other than Manik Sarkar's bootlicking media persons functioned from behind, but ironically such activities have been continuing in this era too in exchange of Govt projects and various benefits’ continuation which were illegally taken under Left regime.
Now, it’s clear that if Daily Desher Katha also had converted itself as a BJP mouthpiece then today the outcomes could have been different.
Before cancelling the publication of Daily Desher Katha, Minister Ratan Lal Nath in a press conference openly said that Desher Katha will be closed and now it’s finally closed.
The same Minister earlier on March 29 after cabinet meeting said that in last 25 years if Tripura Govt (CPI-M) allocated land with 'lacuna' the it will be investigated. If any kind of favour is done to them or lacuna is found then in land allocation, actions will be taken, but as such media houses became BJP mouthpiece no “lacuna” was found indeed by Biplab Govt. (It happens when the Chief Minister of a state is not smart enough to play the deplomacy and also doesn't have moral ethics).
