Daily Desher Katha’s shutdown by RNI a glaring example how excess arrogance, wrongdoings can bring downfall to most powerful in Politics. On Oct 1,2018 evening, RNI Delhi issued order to shutdown Daily Desher Katha which was run in dictator style by Gautam Das. Daily Desher Katha’s downfall a stark reminder to CM Biplab Deb to get rid of his corrupt OSD Dilip Roy, who is close relative of Gautam Das and equally involved in corruptions. Unless Biplab Deb learns lesson from Gautam Das’s downfall and sheds arrogance in public life, get rids of corrupt officials like Dilip Roy, needless to say Biplab Deb’s future downfall also a certainty.

CPI-M spokesman Gautam Das functioned as the ‘kingpin’ of 25 yrs CPI-M era’s thousands of crores corruption, irregularities in Tripura Govt’s 25 years Communist rule. 

CBI interrogated Gautam Das multiple times in 2017 for involvement into Rose Valley Chit Fund Scam but backtracked arrest due to Sitaram Yechury, Manik Sarkar led secret deals in New Delhi.

Gautam Das’s niece husband and corrupt officer Dilip Roy’s elevation as OSD to BJP Chief Minister Biplab Deb is being seen as part of the secret deal continuation by various political observers, even by majority of BJP functionaries in Tripura.

Gautam Das’s multicrore wealth, bunglows are quite contrary to the image of a incomeless Communist leader.

Gautam Das not only created multi-crore ill gotten wealth for himself but made his whole extended family rich by distributing TCS,TPS seats, enabling mass scale Govt corruption.

Otherwise without any known sources of income, how Gautam Das builds a Rs 1.5 crore Bunglow at Ramnagar Road Number 6 ?

How Gautam Das relative and TPS officer Dilip Roy builds a multicrore mansion at Kargil Chowmuhani, Dhaleswar with a middle class officer’s salary of Rs 35000 to 40,000/- ? 

OSD Dilip Roy if asked to sit in TPSC exam again, never these type of CPI-M cadres will pass exams as they lack basic education skills.

Apart from that, Dilip Roy’s late elder brother's son-in-law Anurag Sen also bagged TCS post and enjoyed CEO post in Ambassa Municipal Council.

So, Gautam Das not only created ill-gotten wealth from Rose Valley, I-Core, Basil International Chit Funds, organized smuggling, land grabbing but created a next generation of multi-crore family tree so continue generating corruption wealth.

Unless Tripura BJP Govt orders a CBI probe into Gautam Das family tree corruption, TPSC scam – Rose Valley Chit Fund Scams root will remain untouched.

Back in Nov, 2017 then MLA Sudip Roy Barman asserted that “CBI’s coming in Tripura, inquiring top leaders as Gautam Das, Bijita Nath but not arresting of any of them doesn’t mean that CBI didn’t find anything, rather they had much evidences which led them to inquiry them.”

So, the question raises what prompted Chief Minister Biplab Deb to appoint such a corrupt coterie of Gautam Das’s relative Dilip Roy into OSD Post ? 

Dilip Roy’s appointment shocked Tripura BJP leaders more than general public as no one expected that a Scamster’s relative will be gifted with a OSD Post.

Dilip Roy with his 35 to Rs 40,000/- approx salary of a TPS officer, Commandant’s salary amassed huge wealth and properties over Rs 8 to 10 crores in Tripura and outside State.

Dilip Roy’s Rs 1.1 crore mansion in Agartala in nearing completion, so far Rs 1.1 crore money spent.. Question raises, from where Dilip Ray earned crores ???  By doing Tripura Govt Job in Agartala ?

Dilip Roy married to niece of Gautam Das, CPI-M’s strongman cum Party Spokesman so Dilip Roy’s rampant corruption in amassing wealth during CPI-M era went scot-free.

TIWN demands immediate CBI investigation against Gautam Das, then ACB Probe, Vigilance Probe, Income Tax Probe into Dilip Roy’s ill gotten wealth.

If new BJP Govt led by Biplab Deb wants to show transparency and willpower to fight against corruption then TIWN requests BJP Govt to immediate ordering of probes in North Tripura Timber smuggling, DSP Kalyan Sarkar murder in 2002 and investigating Dilip Roy’s crores of wealth.  All 3 issues are interrelated and root cause behind crores of wealth.

Apart from that, BJP Govt must investigate 1998 era TPSC scam where Manik Sarkar, Gautam Das led CPI-M gifted TCS,TPS posts to their relatives  – lakhs of genuine graduates were denied chance to compete in TPSC and become TCS,TPS officials.

Biplab Deb led Tripura BJP Govt in a highly irresponsible manner appointed a most corrupt TPS officer into the post of OSD(officer on special duty) at State Secretariat without evaluating OSD Dilip Roy’s ties with CPI-M’s most corrupt & Rose Valley scamster Gautam Das. Dilip Ray’s past filled with allegations of DSP Kalyan Sarkar murder in 2002 and amassing wealth beyond the known sources of income as an ordinary TPS officer.

Dilip Roy’s Rs 1.1 crore palatial mansion under construction at Kargill Chowmuhani, Dhaleshwar raise eyebrows that from where this officer managed to amass this large amount of money for construction ? 

This 3 storied mansion with an underground floor is fitted with expensive stones and designer materials which is disproportionate to a TPS officer’s salary. Chief Minister Biplab Deb must order a vigilance probe and dismiss this tainted official from OSD post unless BJP Govt attracts undue media attention & public wrath for harboring CPI-M era’s corrupt officials.

TPS officer Dilip Ray’s meagre Police Salary didn’t prevent this tainted official to construct an approx. Rs 1.1 crore Bunglow with luxary stones & materials at Kargill Chowmuhani, Dhaleswar area in Agartala which is a glaring example of CPI-M’s rampant corruption.

From various Police officials, TIWN learnt that Dilip Ray heavily misused TSR forces during his stint as commandant – he forced TSR jawans to cut forest trees to curve sculptures which he showcased to Manik Sarkar as an artist genius for years.  Even Dilip Ray conducted an exhibition of his sculptures at Press Club.

From 2014, even in 2017 to help his another corrupt friend’s Quiz Competition, Dilip Roy engaged the whole TSR battalion illegally to make arrangements in Rabindra Bhavan.  Dozens of Police vehicles, hundreds of TSR forces were deployed in plainclothes to organize a Quiz competition.

Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s appointment of such a tainted officer as OSD shocked media and TCS, TPS officials Statewide.

After appointment as OSD to CM, Dilip Roy already lined up CPI-M’s corrupt contractors, officials to greet Biplab Deb with garlands.

Question raises, how such a corrupt TPS officer and CPI-M spy made his entry into BJP Chief Minister’s inner circle at State Secretariat as OSD (Officer-on-Special Duty) ?

Tripura expected a clean governance from BJP – but by posting such tainted CPI-M’s close coterie into sensitive posts, what Biplab Deb is signaling to Tripura public and media ?

What stopping Tripura CM to choose a clean and non-CPI-M official out of hundreds of serving IAS,IPS,TCS,TPS officers in State for OSD Post in Secretariat ?

BJP got 43.1% vote share, CPI-M got 42.7% Vote share – so, without strong steps against CPI-M corruption, BJP likely to bite dust in 2019 Lok Sabha Election 2 MP seats from Tripura.

Unless Tripura BJP Govt orders an immediate vigilance probe into Dilip Roy’s ill gotten wealth and DSP murder, public may doubt Biplab Deb led BJP Govt’s Poll promises to fight against CPI-M’s rampant 25 years corruption.
