AGARTALA, Sep 7 (TIWN): 1200 TET qualified teachers even after getting offer letters are unable to join as the Govt has not called them to join offices.

The issue was raised after Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that if he gets candidates in one day he can arrange jobs for 12000 teachers but there is no eligible candidate.

The last TET was conducted on May month, 2018 and out of 1300 candidates around 1200 had been qualified and in the July month each of them were given with offer letters and after that two months have been passed.

Tripura schools are having 9.5 teachers in average i.e. less than 10. Total 4385 numbers of schools, state Tripura has right now whereas the teachers numbers are 41,912.

Out of 41,912 teachers 9022 teachers are trained whereas 32890 teachers are untrained.

Recently, in a conference of teachers, Ratan Lal Nath said, “Right now I can recruit 12000 teachers, but where are candidates ?”

But now it has been revealed that 1200 offer letter received teachers till now left without recruitment.

Moreover, regularization of SSA teachers can also reduce the teachers crisis problem.
