AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN): Tripura's two aligned ruling parties IPFT and BJP which are continuously undergoing clashes especially in the interior, rural, ADC areas have decided to fight the By-Election battle all 'alone'. In a press conference BJP Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath has announced that saying, "Panchayat Election is not like Lok Sabha or Assembly Election at all. BJP, IPFT had talks in nice way and BJP has welcomed all parties of the State to battle the Election including IPFT". "BJP talked to IPFT President NC Debbarma and it was a fruitful meeting indeed. In meeting both of the parties decided so", Nath told media at Party HQ. The Minister denied for having any problem between BJP and IPFT. Through a press conference, BJP Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, "In total 58 blocks, elections are going to be held. Total Gram Panchayats are 592 in Tripura and out of them 425 Gram Panchayats will undergo elections. 3207 seats will undergo by-election due to resigns of candidates, across Gram Panchayats, 161-Panchayat Samitis, 18-Jila Parishads and total 7 lakh 85 thousand 321 voters will cast votes".However, there was no debate with IPFT but BJP welcomes all parties to fight the battle alone, as has been clarified by Ratan Lal Nath.

"This three-layered election is indeed a very complex process. But due to massive resignations, Election Commission has decided to conduct by-election. BJP has welcomed the decision. We have already decided the candidates names. 2980 candidates have been finalized for Gram Panchayat", Ratan Lal Nath said.

"More 227 candidates for Gram Panchayats will be finalized soon. All candidates are qualified, much educated", the Minister added.

"In Panchayat Samiti out of 161 seats 157 candidates are finalized, in Jila Parishad 18 candidates out of 18 are also done and our Party President has also agreed with that. This election is very much important and also we welcome all the political parties to fight the election", Ratan Lal Nath told media.

Since the post-election era IPFT, BJP came in various clashes with each-other and recently at Udaipur Garji there was an FIR also lodged by BJP leaders against IPFT in murder attempt and violence allegations.
