AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN): Saying Assembly Election, Lok Sabha Election are not same as Panchayat Election, Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath has announced that BJP has fully geared up to fight the election alone. There will be no alliance with IPFT.
"As you know the election will be held on Sep 30, we are fully fully prepared. This three-layered election is indeed a very complex process. But due to massive resignations, Election Commission has decided to conduct by-election. BJP has welcomed the decision. We have already decided the candidates names. 2980 candidates have been finalized for Gram Panchayat", he announced.
"More 227 candidates for Gram Panchayats will be finalized soon. All candidates are qualified, much educated", the Minister added.
"In Panchayat Samiti out of 161 seats 157 candidates are finalized, in Jila Parishad 18 candidates out of 18 are also done and our Party President has also agreed with that. This election is very much important and also we welcome all the political parties to fight the election", Ratan Lal Nath told media.
