CPI-M alleges violent attacks upon party activists in last 48 hours

AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar has alleged heavy violence in last 48 hours led by ruling BJP activists. The party secretary also said, it’s a central led planning.

Addressing a press meet, Bijan Dhar said, “Around 300 party offices were bulldozed of the opposition. Still there is no respite from the continuous attacks by them (BJP)”.

“I am not going to mention all the events but in last 2 days there were violent attacks upon CPI-M”, he said.

“At Gandacherra subdivision’s Tulsama area, under Raishyabari PS a meeting was conducted by CPI-M with proper permission led by Ati Ram Tripura (ADC member) and others. In that place BJP goons had attacked upon Ati Ram Tripura, but anyhow he saved himself and reached Agartala”, Dhar said,

Another Mukul Dhar of Kailshahar was attacked in front of his home. Bagma’s Dilip Datta, Manik Som were attacked and even after FIR was lodged no arraest was done.

Sahadeb Das of SFI was attacked brutally Melaghar.

Prabir Baidya, Beloinia, Kartik Das, Ajit Malakar of Rajnagar were attacked. At the same time various party offices were attacked by BJP.

Santir Baczar Kumbhamani Tripura was hospitalized after he was brutally attacked. In Dharmanagar TGEA members were attacked, offices were attacked by Biswabandhu Sen’s miscreants. Police’s role is highly negligible.
