AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, July 20 (TIWN): Mob lynching issue has hit the Parliament since 2 days and today is the second day when Union Home Minister Ranjath Singh had to explain in long about the ‘symptoms’ and ‘causes’ behind mob-lynching further comparing 2018’s mob-lynching under BJP Govt with 34 years old Sikh-riot in 1984 under Congress Govt. Facing opposition Congress, CPI-M, RJD’s walk out, with unsatisfactory answer of Rajnath Singh in Parliament on Thursday, the Minister again talked on mob-lynching on Friday asking the State Govt for taking strict action against lynching.

However, amid oppositions’ attempt of digging into the “source” of mob-lynching,   Singh has been silent over the Tripura Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s irresponsible statement led 3 lynching in next 48 hours.

Tripura Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath led rumour mongering has been already viral across social media.

Tripura Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s Video proved that how the Minister had spread a rumour on ‘Kidney-smuggling gang’ while briefing before media following a death of 11 years child Purna Biswas on June 26 at the Minister’s own constituency Mohanpur and on June 28 the mob-lynching had started, whereas many were beaten on June 27. CPI-M and other left party also will stage a protest in front of the Parliament on July 25 against mob-lynching in Tripura and violence in West Bengal.

BJP Minister Ratan Lal Nath solely responsible for spreading FAKE propaganda, rumours that victim Purna Biswas was murdered and Kidneys were stolen by International Kidney Smuggling gangs when after 2 Days Medical report proved that Kidneys not stolen, neither such Kidney smuggling gang exist in Tripura. But a public personality like Minister Ratan Lal’s irresponsible video statement instigated masses which caused violent attacks on innocents across Tripura. Tripura’s lameduck DGP called a Press Conference and blamed Press but miserably failed to accuse the prime source of Kidney smuggling rumour mongering which is Minister Ratan Lal Nath.

Rajnath Singh on Friday in Lok Sabha said, “Mob lynching should not be Central Govt's full support is with the state govts to stop such crimes. If necessary states may introduce laws against mob-lynching but it must be stopped immediately. On yesterday also I talked on mob-lynching and everytime I have condemned it”. However, as a part of damage repairing over 20 mob-lynching in allover India, Rajnath Singh said, in 1984 country witnessed the most brutal episodes of mob-lynching.“They are preaching against mob-lynching ? Today also one can see the condition of Shikhs”, Singh added.

Countering opposition's charges of attack on democracy, Rajnath Singh said, "India has a long tradition of democratic processes and it is due to this rich democratic process, today a tea seller has been able to become the Prime Minister of the country."

Taking a dig at Shashi Tharoor's remark over 'Hindu Pakistan' and mob lynching, Rajnath said the biggest mob lynching had happened in 1984. “Mob lynching incidents are very unfortunate and I asked state governments to make strictest of laws against it but I would like tell people who are raising these issues that the biggest case of mob lynching happened during 1984 Sikh genocide.""

"Sikhs have suffered the most and I assure them that justice will be done, we have formed an SIT. People talk about the ‘Hindu Taliban’. Where they are taking this country with such talks,” Singh added.

"It’s not like lynching has been happening only in the last few years. But, whoever is killed, it is a worry for all governments. I condemn mob lynchings of and in all forms”, Singh said.

On yesterday, opposition walked out the Parliament  after Rajnath Singh replied, “Through social media, the way fake news is propagated, these kinds of incidents take place. We have asked social media service providers to install checks in their system to prevent such incidents. Such incidents are unfortunate and I request state governments to take appropriate actions against the culprits”.
