AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): Tribal Engineers’ Society, Tripura†has organized a Felicitation Ceremony to honor Swapan Debbarma on Wednesday Mungiakami who saved thousands of human lives from a major train accident on 15th June, 2018 at Dhancherra, Ambassa when the state was suffering heavy flood and landslide in hill areas.
“ We salute Mr. Swapan Debbarma for his selfless munificent service to the human kind through his sacred love towards the humanity and theRailway Department and the state Government should give due honor and reward for his bravery work”, Secretary of Tribal Engineers’ Society said.
“Mr. Swapan Debbarma S/O: Mr. Keturam Debbarma resident of Dhancherra, Ambassa living life in poverty condition with his spouse having three daughters and one son. He is maintaining his family by selling fire wood and bamboo in the local market and no any other regular income except to depend on forest resources”, he added.
In this felicitation ceremony we have handedover a cheque of little amount for his children education and utensils, clothes etc.
“We would like to urges the appropriate authorities through this press media for his special engagement in Railway Department if there is any scope as per his ability”, J Debbarma said.
