AGARTALA, June 19 (TIWN): Amid the gap of actual-promises and actual-happenings in state under BJP Govt, Tripura Revenue Minister NC Debbarma has once again assured the Assembly that mafias who have occupied the govt lands will face major blows as BJP Govt will take action against them. The issue about land-mafia was raised by BJP MLA Dilip Das on the first day of state Assembly. Das asked whether govt is interested to take action against the land mafias who have been occupying Govt and Public lands since decades. The question was thrown to Minister NC Debbarma as he is the Revenue Minister. In reply to the queries, NC Debbarma said, ‘Govt is concerned about the issue and will take appropriate action against those who have gripped govt lands and initially govt has already started action upon itâ€. However, in the last Assembly also same thing was promised, but till now BJP Govt has taken up demolition only few party offices.
No action has been taken against them, who were benefited in CPI-M era with land-leases. If BJP Govt wants it could take action against many such as Tripura previous CPI-M Govt didn’t modified the bill regarding this.
