CPI-M alleges BJP’s ‘Monster-ruling' with performance review of Govt Employees’

AGARTALA, June 17 (TIWN): State Govt’s employees votes banks now again being welcomed by opposition CPI-M accusing BJP is anti-Govt-Employees party. Opposition CPI-M has alleged BJP Govt has constituted a ‘Monster-ruling’ system for Govt employees which says from 50/50 years or 30 years of service’s completion there will be service review of all govt employees.

Addressing media at Melarmath Party office, CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar raised question, “If Govt employees services are being reviewed, who will review the Ministers performance ? Will RSS review Ministers performance ?”

“Govt employees were waiting for 7th pay commission, but instead of giving them 7th pay commission BJP Govt has shocked them with service review’s decision”, Dhar added.

The issue was raised by CPI-M today after on 11th June, Addl Secretary Santosh Deb issued notification saying State Govt employees performance will be checked and state govt will decide whether to retain the employee or to send him/her to forced retirement/termination.

In the notification served by Santosh Das, Additional Secretary of Govt of Tripura on June 11,2018, it has been said, “The undersign is directed to say that there is need for periodical review of performance of govt servants with a view to ascertain whether the Government servant to be retained in service or retired from service in the public interest. The provision in this regard are contained in FR (56) (i) / Rule (48) (1) (b) of CCS Pension Rules 1972 (as adopted by the Govt of Tripura in the Finance Dept).

In pursuance of the Rules, the cases of Govt servants covered by FR (i) or Rule (48) (i) (b) of CCS (Pension Rules 1972 should be reviewed since 6 months before s/he attains the age of 50/55 or on the age of 30 years of qualifying services as per the following time table :

Half Yearly review : Cases of employees who will be attending at the age of 50/55 years or will be completing 30 years of service qualifying for pension, as the case may be, in the half-year,

1)     January  to June : July to December of the same year,

2)     July to December : January to June of the same year,

Biplab Deb led State govt has directed all the depts. to follow the steps and to take necessary action which is being seen as a stern warning to all Govt employees before actual retaliation.
