AGARTALA, June 17 (TIWN): Blatant irregularities committed by Manik Sarkar Govt resulted in massive unemployment. Manipur Govt led by Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh in a notification on 20th March has asked all SSA, RMSA employees to immediately submit their papers for verification as the govt has decided to regularize them. When Tripura Govt has appealed the Central Govt to allow the state govt to fill-up 12,222 vacant posts without B.Ed qualified candidates, the Govt is far from to talk on SSA’s regularization. Already 71 SSA teachers in Tripura died since the CPI-M Govt’s era but their family members got nothing due to the contract basis jobs of the SSA teachers.However, question remains regarding the qualification of the SSA teachers and question remains whether all SSA teachers can qualify the regularization eligibility.

If SSA teachers are regularized automatically 5000 teachers shortage will be diminished who are serving the Education Dept since decades at contractual basis.

Before the Election Tripura BJP promised in various rallies that as soon as the Govt will come in power within 3 months the SSA teachers will be regularized. Not only this, during hunger strike of the SSA teachers on August-2017 Ratan Lal Nath, Biplab Deb, Sunil Deodhar themselves in front of media promised that after BJP govt comes they will be regularized. But above 3 months are passing and the promise was to regularize them within 3 months. Thus the SSA teachers have urged the state govt to look after the SSA’s miserable condition who are the victims since CPI-M govt’s era and to regularize them according to pre-poll promise.

The unsolved job-uncertainty have led the SSA teachers to declare that unless and until they are being regularized, their protests to be continued.

Tripura BJP in its pre-poll promise scripted in the Vision Document  about regularization all Contractual Employees. In the Vision Document, published by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in No-10 promise, it was said, "BJP will REGULARIZE CONTRACTUAL Govt Employees".

On the other side, 27^th April at Sikkim a huge numbers of contractual employees were regularized.

The SSA Teachers also helped the BJP-IPFT to come in power, but the cabinet decision announced by Ratan Lal Nath on March 29, even though brought temporary "impression" of relief, but internally SSA teachers were not satisfied with the 180 degree move of the BJP after forming Govt. 

March 29's cabinet meeting had kept the SSA teachers' regularization matter uncertain, as Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath announced that SSA teachers can continue their jobs till Central Govt continues the fund, but there is no talk about regularization.

SSA teachers played a vital role to let the BJP to win the election.

With all these resentments have brewed among the SSA teachers, who were promised by BJP to be regularized within 3 months of the govt formation.
