AGARTALA, June 12 (TIWN): Ahead of 100 days since the newly formed BJP govt. took oath on 9th March, one big pillar of Manik Sarkar's corruption den K.Nagraj, the CBI charjsheeted IPS ofgicer of 1983 batch, has ultimately been reverted to the post of Inspector General of Police,Tripura from the post of DGP(ad-hoc) via Union Home Ministry order on June 8,2018 . This is seen as the first concrete step of State BJP govt. It is no surprise that Manik Sarkar's 20 years' regime will be remembered for corrupt and inefficient officials like S.K.Panda, K.Nagraj, Comrade TCS Bimal Chakraborty, rapist TCS Panna Ahmed and even new CM's OSD Dilip Roy .

However, after Centre's pressure Chief Minister is forced to revert Nagraj to IG as his promotion to ADG and further to DGP ,both on ad-hoc basis, had been strongly objected by the Ministry of Home Affairs(MHA),Govt. of India,the Cadre Controlling Authority of IPS . 

By an order issued from GA(P&T) Department by Addl Secretary Santosh Das vide No.F.35(20)-GA(P&T)/84(I) dated 8th June Nagraj has practically been demoted to IG . A highly placed sources in state BJP informed TIWN that recently Ministry of Home Affairs intructed the BJP govt. to revert corrupt Nagraj as his promotions were illegal .

 In the said order it is categorically writren ,"...as per Indian Police Service Promotion guidelines, there is no provision of ad-hoc promotion ..." All know that TRIPURAINFOWAY published series of news revealing the corruption of K Nagraj  during his tenure as Deputy IG,CRPF in Hyderabad . Even he was chargesheeted by CBI for possessing disproportionate assets . After this he was suspended by MHA on 24-03-2005 . 

 But assuming the thrown in 1998 former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar strated to appoint the corrupt officials to the key posts like S.K.Panda, Bimal Charkraborty, the famous MGNREGA scamstar of Bishalgarh RD Block and also the brother of former CMs right hand Amal Chakraborty as well as rapist Panna Ahmed. The same policy is being repeated by the new CM Biplab as he too appointed CPI(M) party's state Secretariat member cum Rose Valley scamstar Gautam Das's relative Dilip Roy as OSD to CMO . 

  The recent decision of the state govt. is said to be made under tremendous pressure from the Central Govt and other senior BJP functionaries. It is learnt that recently a number of allegations have been sent to BJP HQ in Delhi categorically mentioning the names of corrupt officials, who are holding key positions under Biplab Kumar Deb . Around 200 honest officials of govt. of Tripura sent complaints to BJP national President Amit Shah and BJP National Secretary Ram Madhav describing the on going situations in Tripura. Sources said that after receiving the serious allegations BJP HQ got furious against Biplab Kumar Deb led BJP govt . It is learnt that during the upcoming visit to Tripura on 18th June, Amit Shah may give some strong instructions to CM Biplab to bring back administrative discipline removing all the corrupt and CPI-M aligned officials.  

 According to TIWN sources many of the officials, public in Tripura badly want honest and efficient officials like Y.Kumar , Ashutosh Jindal at the top posts. Both the IAS officials are known for their efficiency and transparency . But CM Biplab Kumar Deb seems to be quite oblivious about such officials. A top level BJP leader told this correpondent ," It is really surprising that CM recently went to Delhi for negotiating to bring back G S G Ayengar to the post of Chief Secretary of Tripura. Somehow, the news leaked and a group of BJP leaders informed Amit Shah that Ayengar was the mastermind of MGNREGA scam in RD Department . After this Ayengar's return to Tripura is under serious question mark"  ; though corrupt Ayengar himself has been lobbying in Delhi through a BJP leader from Tamilnadu to return to the state, said TIWN sources. 

 After the order has been issued on 8th June 2018, several questions are now floating in the air :-

1) What will happen to OSD to CM ,Dilip Roy ?

2) Will CM Biplab show maturity to remove OSD Dilip Roy immediately ?

3) Will Amit Shah take personal interest to give a strong message to Biplab ?

4) Will CM take initiative to remove Comrade TCS officials cum scamstars namely Pankaj Chakrborty and  Bimal Chakraborty popularly known as Melarmath's Chakraborty Gang from ICA department ? 

5) Will CM Biplab take initiative to appoint officials like Y.Kumar and Asutosh Jindal to the posts of Chief Secretary or Principal Secreyary of key departments ?
