AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar in a telephonic conversation regarding terminated 10323 teachers case, told TIWN on Sunday, “The BJP Govt is trying to save the 10323 teachers future, which is welcome and CPI-M Govt also did the same. Actually the BJP Govt has no other option except following the previous CPI-M Govt’s footsteps”. Bijan Dhar also added, “BJP Govt is appealing Supreme Court to extend 10323 teachers jobs but the Govt should keep other alternative ways to save their livelihoods of those teachers as what Supreme Court will say, nobody knows”. The CPI-M State Secretary also mentioned that BJP Govt’s decision to knock Supreme Court is much valid, which was done by the CPI-M Govt too, but the 12000 non-teaching posts which were created by the CPI-M Govt to save the teachers, should be reopened by “withdrawing” the filed case against those posts.

Bijan Dhar also accused BJP for filing case in Supreme Court against 12000 non-teaching posts, which were created by the Left Govt to save 10323 teachers.

“They can save 10323 teachers career very easily but they have to withdraw the case filed  against the 12000 non-teaching posts”, Dhar told TIWN.

The General Secretary also mentioned, CPI-M just want to see the teachers futures are secured and if needed all kinds of helps will be provided to the newly formed BJP Govt.

The 10323 teachers of Tripura will be terminated on June 30, 2018, who  were working on ad hoc basis in various schools of Tripura.

The 10323 teachers fist lost their jobs in High Court’s verdict in 2014. Then the previous CPI-M led State Sovt managed stay order on High Court’s order by appealing Supreme Court and after much delays in the hearings, finally Supreme Court also in 2017, March 29 terminated all the teachers but with humanitarian view Supreme Court permitted all the 10323 teachers to continue their jobs till December 31st, 2017.

When CPI-M led State Govt repealed in Supreme Court to extend their jobs for 1 year, Supreme Court extended the job for 6 months on ad hoc basis and finally only 27 days have left for the teachers final terminations.

But before the Tripura Assembly Election, which was held in February 2018, BJP as the opposition managed the 10323 teachers to believe if BJP comes in power they will “Resolve” the 10323 teachers problems, but even after around 3 months of passage no solution was done to that issue.

In this condition both the opposition CPI-M and Congress have asked the BJP Govt to resolve the teachers’ problems as soon as possible as they promised to do that in their Vision Document.

BJP Govt now to appeal in Supreme Court to extend the teachers jobs beyond June 30, 2018 for more 2 years. BJP to urge Supreme Court to extend those teachers jobs till 2020, 30th June.

On the other side when nobody knows what will be SC’s decision teachers career to be ended on June 30, just after 27 days from today.

On yesterday, Tripura CPI-M Ex-Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty raised question, “If Supreme Court agrees with Tripura Govt’s plea, what will happen to the teachers after 2020 ?”

With all these tensions have gripped 10323 teachers, but the teachers are totally silent till now as they are waiting to know how BJP Govt to save them.
