AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma, Minister NC Debbarma on Tuesday have visited suicide victim school student Lahiri Debbarma's house at Barkathal area, who committed suicide after allegedly by insulted by Big Bazar employee and her school authority. On yesterday, CBI investigation was demanded by common people in Lahiri Debbarma suicide case and NSUI staged demonstration in front of Big Bazar. Visiting Lahiri Debbarma's house, Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma said, "The incident took place on May 24 and on May 25 and a UD case had been taken on her unnatural death. On yesterday at 7.30 pm an FIR was lodged against Big Bazar and Auxilium School authority by Lahiri's mother. We have ordered police already to investigate the case strictly". Addressing media further, Jishnu Debbarma said, "We know it's not possible to fill the gap of their daughter even at the cost of Rs. 100 crores, but just as an immediate help to the victim family Tripura Govt has announced Rs. 5 lakh to the family".

The Minister also said, Govt is thinking to arrange a job for the family as Lahiri's father died long back and her mother works in a private school as a non-teaching staff with minimum earnings. Lahiri's brother is only 12 years old.

Being asked by media, what action the govt is going to take against Big Bazar, Jishnu Debbarma said, "Already we have ordered for proper, unbiased investigation in that issue. In this situation it will be not appropriate for me if I talk against Big Bazar anything. If I say anything in advance then the investigation will no more remain as unbiased".

Minister NC Debbarma said, "Such incident is very unfortunate. Even though a life can't be measured with money, but for the immediate help we have announced Rs. 5 lakh. Her mother is working in a little private school at minimum wage".
