AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): Corrupt Vice Chancellor of Tripura Central University and his PR & Media Consultant Manas Pal and faculty Ashesh Gupta and the whole team who are running the University yet to resign even after the ongoing condemnations against them across the state against them. Tripura opposition Congress also has rubbished the ongoing "drama" in the name of "investigation" by Corrupt Vice Chancellor and his team, demanding Central Govt’s direct inquiry to find out the criminals. The condemnation came after Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath was insulted in the convocation on yesterday in the presence of Vice President of India.

Addressing a press conference, Congress spokesperson Harekrishna Bhowmik said, “It doesn’t matter who is  the Education Minister, but insult the Education Minister who was representing the Chief Minister was totally unexpected in the University. Once again it proves how much corrupt the Vice Chancellor and his team are”.

As a part of party’s reaction, the Congress leader said, “In front of Vice President Venkaiah Naidu the whole incident took place during the 11th convocation which was totally a conspiracy held under the corrupt Vice Chancellor of Tripura University. Convocation is a highly prestigious occasion, where state’s talents are awarded. On that day many talented scholars are given certificates and they make the state proud”.

“Vice President is everyone’s Vice President and not tied by political identity. But we observed the authority of the University called the Education Minister on the dais and requested him to deliver speech. Just when the Minister began speech, he was stopped suddenly by the authority. The whole incident killed the glory of the occasion which was done planwise”, Bhowmik said.

“We have acknowledged everything from media and from our sources. The Education Minister was representing on behalf of the Chief Minister and he was intentionally insulted. Congress strictly condemn such type of incident”, he added.

“It was done by the intriguers who are running the University and everybody knows how much corrupt the Vice Chancellor himself is”, Bhowmik added.

“We do not demand any justice from the University heads, as they are the persons who have done the crime. We demand Central Govt’s intervention in that matter", he said.

“MHRD should immediately and neutrally intervene and find out the culprits behind the crime. Insult of Education Minister was insult of 37 lakh people of Tripura”, Harekrishna Bhowmik added.
