AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): While addressing on the occasion of World Veterinary Day, Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma said, state Tripura lacks proper slaughter houses, which need to upgraded.
The Deputy CM who was addressing on the occasion of ‘World Veterinary Day’ at Pragna Bhawan on Saturday called for cooperation from each officials of the state Veterinary Dept for that.
“We don’t have proper slaughter house which we need to progress. Hygiene has to be maintained in animal products”, he said.
“In Tripura, there is immense possibility of animal farming. Things have to be organized and shape in better forms, because farming are taking place in mostly unorganized sectors”, the deputy CM said.
We should have food processing units… a lot of things have to be done in coming days and for that each person’s cooperation from the Veterinary field will be necessary”, Jishnu Debbarma added.
