‘People knocking SC, losing trusts on HC is extremely unfortunate’ : Justice Talapatra

AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): Without mentioning about any particular case, Tripura High Court’s Senior Justice SubashishTalapatra expressed his grief about the recent 12000 non-teaching posts case's hearing for which the petitioners had knock the door of Supreme Court, withdrawing the case from High Court.

Even though Talapatra didn’t mentioning about the case with name but said it’s extremely unfortunate and unexpected that in a recent case losing hopes, petitioners knocked the door of Supreme Court.

“It shouldn’t be,…………..”, said Talapatra.

The 12000 non-teaching posts were created by the CPI-M Govt for the terminated 10323 teachers. Alleging unconstitutional, a case was filed against those 12000 posts' recruitment in the High Court, but after a certain time the case was withdrawn and the petitioner directly filed petition in Supreme  Court. The next hearing is on July month at there. 

On the other side, Advocate General ArunKanti Bhowmik said, “In last 5 years Tripura experienced a revolution since the establishment of High Court after High Court gave various Historical verdicts”

Talapatra referring Bhowmik’s claims said, "Not only the 5 years can be considered for Tripura's change but it was Tripura's king who formed an Anglo Saxon model of justice system long back in 1913 and the King was too advanced to talk about Universal Education on that time".
