AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma on Sunday while addressing at SC, ST MLAs' felicitation programme said, “The previous Govt has left hills of works for us. They did just nothing ! From roadway to education system, all left in paralyzed shape. However, it’s our good-luck that due to them we are getting the opportunity to work for the public and shape Tripura as a model state”. “In the name of Infrastructures the previous Govt created just structures, hollow buildings instead of road constructions”. “The huge buildings have nothing inside them, we have to build up the infrastructure there. From roadway to Health service all left in pathetic shape. But we have to fulfill our mission and for that we need everyone’s cooperation and Govt employees have to take a lead role in that", he added.“In the last election many people said what BJP promises, it never fulfills. But you will see how one after one we fulfill our promises. All are possible to fulfill because we analyzed the facts before we promised, we never promised to come in power”, Jishnu Debbarma said.

In a separate press meet, Debbarma presented a negative balance of Tripura Finance Dept and said Govt will overcome the economic condition within 5 years.

Jishnu Debbarma told media that as inheritor BJP Govt has been gifted with only negative balances by the previous CPI-M govt.

"This is important that we tell the public what is the financial condition of the state right now, so that we can tell them what our govt has done during the 5 years", he added.

"There was no calculated expenditure at all and especially since 3 years, the expenditure expanded  than the central fund, which has totally paralyzed the Finance Dept in the state. There will be a necessity of Rs. 1459.51 crore to implement the 7th pay commission and other allowances. The arrears amount is standing as Rs. 1644.90 crore in 2017-18", said Jishnu Debbarma.
