AGARTALA / SANTIR BAZAR, March 14 (TIWN): At least 69,000 rupees were recovered from a small party office of CPI-M today at Santir Bazar, after BJP Govt led state police have started raids in various party offices. According to Santir Bazar Police Station report, "Rods inside bamboos, knives, few more local weapons and moneys were recovered by the police today in a raid at the party office", a police official said. Question raises, i the exact reason why the CPI-M and many big-shots were hit with Modi's exclusive demonetization. CPI-M collects donations from public, it's widely known but keeping them in cash have turned heavy for the party's image.
Before the election, the Election Commission was also complained about CPI-M's illegal donation collections, which were kept in bundles inside the party offices.
Police said, in coming days also similar raids will be taken place.
After CITU Office at Nagerjala, Tripura Police found dangerous arms inside Satir Bazar Party Office of CPI-M today along with cashes. Big sized 'Da' (local weapons) and big-knives were also recovered from there. On yesterday, CPI-M Spokesperson Gautam Das alleged that Nagerjala CITU Office was locked by BJP and CITU doesn't know what happened after that.
But what Gautam Das will say now, after their own party office was found with forbidden arms, as that party office was never occupied by BJP or anybody.
Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) announced multilayered protest demonstrations in the state at the beginning of the new year against the Narendra Modi government's demonetization move. Now, the reason behind CPI-M's heavy angers on demonetization are coming out with heavy amounts of cashes are being recovered from CPI-M party offices.
