AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): Tripura Gramin Bank at Kanchanmala of Bishlalgarh subdivision was looted on yesterday night by miscreants. Many important and costly items were theft from the bank.
First the local people could discover that the bank was looted. The locals called the Bank Manager and officials via phone and getting informed all of them rushed to the spot.
After arriving the officials found that a good number of computers were taken, whereas the whole office was vandalized. Even the wall clock was found missing.
"Not only the CPU, but monitors, keyboards, mouse all have been taken. The drawers were found in disorders", said a bank official.
"Strong room has remained as it is. Nobody entered there and no money was looted. The machines were basically their target", the official added.
In the cashier's drawer also some personal things like charger and mobiles were taken. Out of three computer sets in 3 branches two were taken.
"The loss can't be figured out now, but including batteries the loss will stand as huge", the official added.
FIR has been lodged in he local police station and police are investigating the case.
