AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): After Arunachal student was beaten up at the Agartala NIT campus, Kiren Rijuju has come with sharp attacks against the NIT authority.

Rijuju also talked to Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb and DGP A K Shukla in this regard. DGP has confirmed him that proper action to be taken against the culprits.

The student is a resident of Arunachal Pradesh, was studying in NIT. However, none of the NIT Officials has uttered about the incident to media.A source said that the victim's sister, has put up the post on Facebook which became viral.

 "The violent incident of Ragging at NIT, Agartala is very unfortunate. I spoke to CM Biplab Deb ji and DGP Tripura. The Police is taking appropriate actions", Rijuju tweeted.

Kiren Rijiju is an Indian lawyer and politician of Assamese descent. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Rijiju is current Union Minister of State for Home Affairs of India.
