AGARTALA, August 27 (TIWN): Lives of forty seven students of the Bishalghar Nayapara S.B. school, under Sepahijala district, were threatened by the midday meal being provided to them by the school authority. However all of them were out of danger now- Investigation Officer informed this to tripurainfoway. Health Minister Badal Chowdhury, DM Dr. Prasanta Goel visited affected students and all necessary treatments were undertaken.
Speaking to TIWN, the Officer said that on Wednesday morning the students of Nayapara S.B School- Primary Division fell ill and started vomiting after having the mid-day meal. The school authorities had immediately rushed them to the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital where the guardians of the children rushed immediately and hurdled a long list of complaints against the school authorities, though no formal complaint has yet being lodged.
After primary checkup the doctors assured that all of them were out of danger and may get discharged tomorrow.
On the other hand the students have complained of a foul smell in their meals.though informed by the students the authority failed to take proper steps against the complaint. It is to be noted that complaints against midday meals is almost regular nowadays, however the Medical Officer of Bishalgarh sub-Divisional Hospital said that no such news had reached him.
