AGARTALA, Feb 14 (TIWN): Before and after the arrival of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Aditynath Yogi in Tripura, CPI-M and Congress had come with massive criticism of the BJP led UP Govt alleging ‘Law and Order of Uttar Pradesh is worst’. Being asked by media, on this particular topic, Yogi said, “After the BJP Govt sat in power at UP, the law and order there have improved a lot. Crimes against women are no more, in last ten months there was not a single riot, no Curfew was imposed, no situation aroused such that central forces had to deploy at there”. “UP is holding 22 crores of population, but still the law and order is under control. But Tripura being such a little populated state with 40 lakhs of people is undergoing worst law and order condition”, added Yogi.

However, Yogi was silent to mention about the Kasiganj’s communal violence where curfew was imposed.

On the other side Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has claimed that the Central Govt announced crime record data shows Tripura’s law and order is under control. Manik Sarkar said, "Crimes are happening everywhere but it's over highlighted due to the over campaigning on such issues with Political gains adding full of lies. Our record in controlling crime has been excellent. It has been improved years after years and even in the last record of crime record bureau of India, the positive development of the law and order situation was witnessed”.
