AGARTALA, September 3 (TIWN): A top level govt official told TIWN over phone on Tuesday night, "Two gazetted officers close to Melarmath have taken over control of the entire episode and through them instructions are being sent to top officials of School Education Department to deal with the situation tactfully. After the news published in TRIPURAINFOWAY.com, two files have already been removed (one in which contained Debananda Dam's letter addressing Principal Secretary K Rajeswar Rao and D K Debbarma issuing order of procurement of books and the other about the recommendation of Departmental Procedure on Arnab Chakraborty, the Cashier). After the suspension of Deputy Director Ambalika Datta, another official Dilip Kumar Debbarma is the target of Director and Principal Secretary. As of now these two officials are now in touch with Melarmath and if positive signals are given, Addl Director D K Debbarma too may face suspension soon. "

After the publication of investigating news in TRIPURAINFOWAY.com on recent scam on CM and CS books, crucial files are now being removed from School Education Departments under the instructions from a Melarmath boss with the sole intention to protect CM. 

Indeed, investigative news on TRIPURAINFOWAY.com has made many officials to spend sleepless nights,  Govt suspended Deputy Director Ambalika Datta to cover-up  the corruption and nexus between Publisher and top heads of  Administration . Actually both the Director and Principal Secretary are now trying to give CM safe guard purely for their hidden vested interests. A top level official said, "Interestingly Principal Secretary of School Education Department K Rajeswar Rao is also the Principal Secretary of CM. And his next target is to become the Chief Secretary of the state. On the other hand Director P K Chakraborty too has been promoted to IAS and like the former Principal Secretary Banamali Sinha his eyes are on retaining Director or next Principal Secretary's post after retirement as his predecessor did." Keeping these interests in mind both these top most officials are now busy in suppressing the entire episode. And after the suspension of Ambalika Datta; Dilip Debbarma, a well known anti-Left group official is on the way to be the next victim of the scam. A very close family sources of the suspended Deputy Director said, "We have already suggested her to appear before the High Court challenging the suspension order. And once she returns to Tripura from Kota (she is on official leave to be with her ailing son in Kota), final decision will be taken. In order to protect the images of two topmost persons of the state Govt (CM & CS), School Education Department is making junior officials scapegoats. "

    A section in the Melarmath has raised the question, " Dilip Kumar Debbarma has issued the order and Ambalika Datta has been suspended at a time when she is out of station taking a 30 days leave from Director P K Chakraborty in order to stand by her only son who is now in hospital. Is it justified? " Again Ambalika Datta is a junior official and her only fault might be that she did not remain present before the Audit Team but that too is null and void as she has gone out of the state with valid permission. The question is what is is the motive of the Govt?

     It is learnt that Ambalika Datta has become the target of Melarmath ever since she started to behave strongly against Arab Chakraborty (the Cashier). Arab Chakraborty hardly comes to his office twice or thrice a month ; rather he operates his business from Kolkata. The next question raised by Melarmath is why suggestions have been sought about RMSA fund? The source said that it is because of the fact that RMSA has adequate funds of Rs 10000/- per school a year in procuring books. As such Dilip Debbarma was asked to brief about the funds. But TIWN sources add, " Even Dilip Debbarma was not at all interested to issue the order. But the Director sent a letter to him saying , "... ...  matter was discussed and issue order to DEOs to procure books." Only after this D K Debbarma issued such a controversial order asking all DEOs to purchase  huge quantity of books written by CM & CS from a private publisher Gyan Bichitra by using Central RMSA funds. And it is learnt that even D K Debbarma has kept a copy of the instruction addressed to him by the Director for future Legal use. 

   Now allegations are being raised against Ambalika Datta about financial scam. But a close source from her family said," In January this year when she went to Delhi, she took an advance of Rs 10000/- from the Department. After her return she submitted the vouchers asking for adjustment of bills. But it might not have been adjusted as Cashier Arab Chajraborty was in Kolkata."  A high level official also told TIWN," 3 months before Joint Director Manabendra  Chakrabirty enquired about the matter and submitted his report for Departmental procedure against Arnab Chakraborty to the Director P K Chakraborty, who hid the file with instructions from Melarmath. " But due to his loyalty to Memarmath,  Arnab may also get away from this episode. Actually the department has taken the tactics of wait and watch policy as once the Durga Puja starts , people will forget everything.".
